Sworn translations and legalizations

To do a sworn translation, the translator must receive the original document or its certified copy since the translation will be stapled together with the text in the original language, becoming a single document.

The charge for a sworn translation includes the following costs:

  • the cost for translation,
  • the cost for certification,
  • the cost for stamps (1 stamp each 4 sides of the translated document + 1 stamp for administrative fees).

If the translated document is destined abroad, the legalization of the signature of the Registrar is also required. You must know which foreign state the document is intended for, because in some cases the so-called "apostille" is also required.
The procedure for legalizing a translated document lengthens the delivery time (about a couple of days) and an additional cost is charged.
